Cr Lyon (Chair) opened the meeting at 2.20 and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on Bundjalung Country.

Adoption of Minutes from Previous Meetings

 

Committee Recommendation:

That the minutes of the Coastal Estuary Catchment Panel Meeting held on 16 March 2017 be confirmed.

Business Arising from Previous Minutes

Staff Reports - Infrastructure Services

Report No. 4.1             Capacity Assessment Belongil Creek Drainage System

File No:                        I2017/566

 

Committee Recommendation:

That in relation to the ‘Capacity Assessment of the Belongil Creek Drainage System, the consultant be requested to include a finding on the performance of the two options against the current flow path for the current flow scenario of 3 ML / day, in addition to findings presented to the Coastal Estuary Catchment Panel on 4 May 2017 for 5 and 8 ML / day.

Action:

 

·         Dr Bayley to amend labelling of Union drain (shown in yellow on presentation map)

·         Figure 3.3 - scale on LHS needs fixing

·         Peter to follow up implementation of short term works as approved by ET

·         Staff to meet with Tony Flick and will advise rest of the Committee of the outcomes

·         Circulate short term options (as approved by ET) to rest of Committee
