Cr Ndiaye (Chair) opened the meeting at 2.18pm and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on Bundjalung Country.

Apologies:

There were apologies received from Cr C Coorey, Shannon Burt and Lou Hodgson.

No. 1         Election of Chair

Committee Recommendation: that Council note that Cr Ndiaye has been appointed as chairperson for the Arts and Creative Industries Advisory Committee for a period of 12 months.                                                                                                                              Westheimer/Balson

The recommendation was put to the vote and declared carried.

Committee Recommendation:

That the committee note the arts and cultural features which have been commissioned for the Byron skate park and recreation precinct.                                                                 Cohn/Napier

Report No. 3.2           Review Constitution of Arts and Creative Industries Advisory Committee

Committee Recommendation:

That the Arts and Creative Industries Advisory Committee recommends to Council to adopt the Constitution at Attachment 1 E2021/150507.                                               Westheimer/Balson

The recommendation was put to the vote and declared carried.

Committee Recommendation:

1.      That the Arts and Creative Industries Advisory Committee notes the report.

2.      That the Summit aims to occur prior to the end of October 2022.
