Cr Dey (Chair) opened the meeting at 9.10 and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on Bundjalung Country.

There were no new declarations of interest.
Adoption of Minutes from Previous Meetings
That the minutes of the Belongil Catchment Advisory Committee Meeting held on 30 May 2016 be confirmed. (Flick/Dey) The recommendation was put to the vote and declared carried. |
Business Arising from Previous Minutes
An update was provided on the sending out of the letter to the landowners in the gazetted Belongil Swamp Drainage Union (discussed at meeting of Committee held 30/05/16).
Staff Reports - Infrastructure Services
Action:
1. Peter to
talk to Patrick Pahlow to find his availability for an information session for landowners
in the gazetted Belongil Swamp Drainage Union and set the meeting date
as soon as possible
2. Letter to
the landowners in the gazetted Belongil Swamp Drainage Union to
be updated to reflect current information on legislative process pertaining to
the Drainage Union and the link between the Union drain and flooding in the
Industrial Estate
3. letter to the Drainage Union landowners to be reviewed by James Flockton
4. noted that the Ewingsdale road corridor may be another option for fate of the effluent
