Cr J Martin (Chair) opened the meeting at 11.33 and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on Bundjalung Country.

Staff Reports - Sustainable Environment and Economy

Report No. 3.1         Heritage Program Update

Committee Recommendation:

1.That the Heritage Panel notes the heritage program update report as presented by staff.

 

2.That staff report to the next Heritage Panel on the blue plaque program and apply for grants if reasonable and funding allocated.

Report No. 3.2         Heritage Panel Member Updates

RECOMMENDATION:

That the Heritage Panel notes the member updates.     

 

 

 

Report No. 3.3         Draft Brunswick Heads Heritage Assessment for Proposed Heritage Conservation Area

File No:                   I2021/1333

 

Committee Recommendation:

1.That the Heritage Panel endorse the Brunswick Heads Heritage report and its recommendations for listings in Schedule 5 of the Byron Local Environmental Plan 2014 for reporting to Council.

 

2.That consultation with the residents and owners as per Recommendation 5 (of the attached Draft Brunswick Heads Heritage Assessment for proposed Heritage Conservation Area) to occur prior to any reporting to Council.
