The Committee elected Leon Kelly as the Chairperson of the Arakwal Memorandum of Understanding Advisory Committee.

Leon Kelly (Chair) opened the meeting at 10.35am and acknowledged that the meeting was being held on Bundjalung Country.

There were no attendances via audio visual link.

Apologies:

An apology from Cr Balson was accepted and a leave of absence granted.

There were no declarations of interest.

Note: The minutes of the meeting held on 15 April 2021 were noted, and the Committee Recommendations adopted by Council, at the Ordinary Meeting held on 24 June 2021.

Committee Recommendation:

That the Arakwal MoU Advisory Committee:

1.      Notes the Arakwal MoU draft review attachment (#E2019/90906).

2.      Provides input to the draft review and discusses next steps and possible options.

3.      Notes the Committee will hold an Extra Ordinary Meeting on 19 May 2023 to continue the Arakwal MoU review.                                                                         (Kelly/Emmons)

The recommendation was put to the vote and declared carried.
