That the Heritage Panel: 1.
Notes the discussion
piece Heritage Act Review and Discussion Paper. 2. Requests staff to make a submission regarding the discussion paper highlighting the following issues:
· Support the streamlined process to encourage preservation of residential heritage items. · Concern over the lack of detail regarding streamline processes for removal of state heritage listed items and seek clarification of those processes. · Note the need to include statutory provision to address minimum standard of repair and maintenance for items of local significance (LEP) (e.g. wilful neglect).
3. Requests staff provides a copy of the submission to the Heritage Panel members at the next meeting. (Vescio/Cameron) The recommendation was put to the vote and declared carried. |
